❄️ Frozen Dead Guy Days — The Story That Turned Heads (and Stayed Frozen)
Long before it became a full-blown festival, this story started with a man from Norway living a completely normal life. Bredo Morstøl was born in 1900, and nothing about his early years would suggest that decades later he would become the center of one of the most unique events in the United States. But after his passing in 1989, everything changed. His grandson, Trygve Bauge, was deeply involved in cryonics—and that belief would set off a chain of events that took Bredo from Norway to California, and eventually to a small mountain town in Colorado.
What followed is where the story truly takes shape. From being preserved on dry ice to ending up in Nederland—and later moved again—this unusual journey became something locals would quietly maintain for years. Today, Bredo, now known as “Grandpa Bredo,” resides in The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park—the same iconic hotel that inspired The Shining—where he is kept inside a true liquid nitrogen cryonics facility.
In 2002, what began as a creative marketing idea by the local chamber of commerce turned into something much bigger. Frozen Dead Guy Days was born—and over time, it has evolved into a full cultural phenomenon filled with quirky events, unforgettable energy, and a story that continues to draw people in from all over.
There’s so much more to this story than meets the eye—and trust us, it only gets more interesting from here.

🎶 Jelly Roll, Carin León & Cirkut — “Lighter” (FIFA Anthem)
🎶 Jelly Roll, Carin León & Cirkut — “Lighter” (FIFA Anthem)
There’s something special happening with “Lighter.” It doesn’t just sound like a global anthem — it feels like one. Released as part of the FIFA build-up, this track brings together three completely different musical worlds and somehow makes them feel like they were always meant to meet.
At the center of it all is Jelly Roll — raw, soulful and deeply human. He’s built his career on honesty and you hear that immediately in “Lighter.” His voice carries weight — the kind that comes from lived experience — and it grounds the song in something real.
Then there’s Carin León, bringing that unmistakable Mexican regional sound and emotion. His vocals add warmth and depth, giving the song a cultural heartbeat that feels rooted and proud. It’s not just a feature — it’s a true collaboration.
And behind it all is Cirkut — the producer known for shaping massive global hits. He pulls everything together into something cinematic and powerful without losing the soul of the artists.
🌎 Three Artists. Three Countries. One Song.
This is where the meaning hits deeper.
“Lighter” isn’t just a song — it represents the three nations hosting the upcoming FIFA World Cup: the United States, Mexico, and Canada. Each artist symbolizes a piece of that story. Different languages, different sounds, different journeys — all coming together in one shared moment.
And that’s what FIFA has always tried to capture at its best: unity.
From what the artists have shared, this song is about lifting each other up — about carrying light through struggle, through differences, through distance. Jelly Roll has talked about wanting his music to connect people who feel unseen. Carin León leans into pride, culture and emotional storytelling. And Cirkut’s vision here was to make something that could live on a global stage — something that feels just as big in a stadium as it does in your headphones.
🔥 The Sound & The Feeling
“Lighter” builds slowly, almost like it’s gathering people as it goes. You hear country, regional Mexican and modern pop production all blending together — not competing, just existing side by side.
It’s the kind of song that feels right for a moment where the whole world is watching.
Crowds. Flags. Voices. Energy.
But underneath all of that — it’s still personal.
❤️ Why This Song Matters
“Lighter” is a reminder of what music can do when it stops trying to fit into one lane.
It connects.
It represents.
It brings people together who might not otherwise cross paths.
And for something like FIFA — a global event built on passion, identity and shared experience — that message couldn’t be more fitting.
This isn’t just a song tied to a tournament.
It’s a story about three cultures meeting in the middle… and finding something powerful there.
