January is shaping up to be one of those months where there’s always something queued up. Below are just a few of the movies and shows we’re watching this month on streaming—a mix of thrillers, comfort watches, big-name action, reality chaos and a few surprises we didn’t expect but are very glad showed up.

This month is packed with seriously big names hitting streaming. We’re talking Ben Affleck and Matt Damon teaming up again in The Rip, Kiefer Sutherland bringing intensity to Stone Cold Fox, and a brand-new chapter of Fear Factor hosted by Johnny Knoxville (which honestly tells you the tone right there). There’s also The Beauty landing with an all-star cast that includes Ashton Kutcher, The Smashing Machine starring Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt, and The Wrecking Crew pairing Jason Momoa and Dave Bautista for some action-comedy chaos.

We’re also loving some of the smaller, character-driven stories mixed in—like Best Medicine on Hulu. And yes… remember Annie Potts from Ghostbusters? She’s part of the cast, and so far this one has that cozy, fish-out-of-water, small-town charm that feels perfect for this time of year. It’s quirky, heartfelt, and we’re enjoying it more than we expected.

And while it didn’t fit on the list image, we have to mention one more we’ll absolutely be watching: a brand-new revival of Star Search coming January 13 on Netflix. This is the same show that helped launch stars like Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Beyoncé, Christina Aguilera and more. The last time Star Search aired was back in 1995, hosted by Ed McMahon, so this reboot feels like a real full-circle nostalgia moment.

There’s a lot to love this month, with so many familiar faces and exciting new stories landing on streaming. We’re watching right along and having fun with it. What’s on your January watchlist—and will you be watching any of these with us too? 🍿✨
