🍿 Must-Watch June Picks from Vibe USA | Movies, Series & Documentaries We Think Are Worth Your Time

June delivered a little bit of everything, and that's exactly how we like it.

Here at Vibe USA, we aren't movie or TV reviewers. We're simply lovers of entertainment who enjoy sharing the shows, movies and documentaries that made us laugh, think, cheer, cry or immediately tell someone else, "You've got to watch this."

Whether you're looking for suspense, comedy, documentaries, reality competition or romance, here are a few of our favorite June discoveries that we think are worth adding to your watchlist.

⟡ Cape Fear (Apple TV+)

Genre: Atmospheric thriller series

If you're craving a slow-burning psychological thriller, Cape Fear is one to sink into.  From executive producers Steven Spielberg and Martin Scorsese. Amy Adams delivers a captivating performance, while Patrick Wilson brings the same uneasy presence that fans know from The Conjuring and Insidious films. Javier Bardem is absolutely unforgettable as the dangerously unhinged Max Cady, creating the kind of unpredictable menace that keeps you on edge every time he's on screen. Juliette Lewis also joins the outstanding cast, adding another compelling layer to this atmospheric thriller. Rather than relying on nonstop action, the series slowly builds an eerie sense of dread that makes every episode feel unsettling in the best possible way.

⟡ Outlast: The Jungle (Netflix)

Genre: Reality competition

If you enjoy survival shows, this one is incredibly easy to binge. Contestants battle harsh conditions, difficult personalities and impossible decisions while trying to outlast everyone else. We ended up watching episode after episode because we just had to see what happened next.

⟡ Maternal Instinct (Netflix)

Genre: True crime documentary

This isn't an easy watch—but it's certainly a memorable one. The documentary tells the true story behind one of the most shocking criminal cases in recent years. The woman at the center of the story is currently the youngest woman on death row in the United States, making this a haunting look at the events that led there. If you're fascinated by real-life crime stories, this one will likely stay with you long after the credits roll.

⟡ They Will Kill You (HBO Max)

Genre: Horror thriller

Looking for something intense? They Will Kill You throws you into a wild ride filled with suspense, twists and plenty of tension. The cast includes Zazie Beetz, Heather Graham, Patricia Arquette and more. Helping to make this an entertaining, slightly campy thriller.

⟡ Andre Is an Idiot (Netflix)

Genre: Documentary

Don't let the title fool you.

You'll quickly discover that Andre Ricciardi is anything but an idiot. As he learns to face the reality of dying, he somehow ends up teaching the rest of us how to truly live. It's funny, heartbreaking, inspiring and deeply human. We actually found ourselves clapping when it ended—something we almost never do while watching TV.

⟡ Voicemails for Isabelle (Netflix)

Genre: Romantic comedy

This is everything we hope for in a great rom-com. It made us laugh, made us cry and reminded us why heartfelt romantic comedies still matter. Filled with charm, memorable characters and plenty of emotion, it's one of those movies that stays with you.

⟡ Little Brother (Netflix)

Genre: Comedy

Sometimes you simply need a movie that makes you laugh out loud, and Little Brother absolutely delivered for us. The characters are wonderfully quirky, the situations keep escalating in hilarious ways and the comedy never takes itself too seriously. We genuinely needed a movie like this.

No matter what kind of entertainment you enjoy, we hope one of these finds a place on your watchlist.
