April is stacked. And we mean stacked.

This month isn’t just about new releases — it’s a full-on mix of huge stars, powerful storytelling, wild concepts and every genre you can think of. From action-packed thrillers and emotional true stories to comedy, horror, documentaries, and nostalgic returns, this is one of those months where there truly is something for everyone.

We’re seeing major names like Chris Hemsworth, Halle Berry, Mark Ruffalo, Sydney Sweeney, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Charlize Theron leading big releases, while actors like Amanda Seyfried, Keanu Reeves, Cameron Diaz, Timothée Chalamet, Elizabeth Banks, Dan Levy and Frankie Muniz remind us just how deep this month goes with star power. Even more exciting, we’re getting appearances from legends and fan favorites like Sigourney Weaver, Bryan Cranston, Kate Hudson, Nicole Kidman and Nick Nolte alongside comedic standouts like Zach Galifianakis, Sacha Baron Cohen, Laurie Metcalf and Molly Shannon.

And the genres? All over the map in the best way. We’ve got true crime and docuseries, dark comedies about fame and second chances, military-meets-dinosaur chaos, nostalgic sitcom returns, sports scandals, shark-infused disaster madness, fantasy, stand-up comedy and even a bizarre pizza-fueled adventure. Horror fans get their fix with slasher-style terror and tense thrillers, while comedy lovers get everything from laid-back storytelling to outrageous ensemble casts. Add in emotional drama, competition series plus a few wild curveballs and it really does feel like April is covering every mood.

One of the biggest nostalgic blasts this month is American Gladiators, returning to Prime Video on April 17. The original series debuted in 1989, and the new version looks like it’s leaning into both the old-school fun and a more modern, high-impact style. Prime Video says the reboot will bring back classic events like Joust, Powerball, Hang Tough and The Wall. The competition ends with one man and one woman winning $100,000 and the title of American Gladiator Champion.
